Tuna's cousin, Tina.
I'm not the biggest fan of canned tuna, but it's an easy way to get more fish in one's diet, and recently, I bought about 6 cans of tuna on sale. Plus it's a cheap meal.
Does anyone have any really good recipes that make use of canned tuna? It has to be really good, cus like I said, I'm not crazy about it, but it's okay.
The usual ways I make it are:
1. In a sandwich
2. In a salad with macaroni, celery, grated carrot...
3. Melted on an English muffin with cheddar.
I always get the chunk tuna in water because it's said to have lower concentrations of mercury than solid white tuna.
Thanks!

I also like it in a cold pasta salad. Say curly pasta, tuna, some cooked peas, a little low fat mayo, maybe some red onion, and add a little garlic salt. I chill the pasta and peas before making the salad.
I hate warm or hot tuna. I won't touch it if it has been warmed up.

1 can of tuna
1 egg
large handful of shredded parmesan or romano cheese (this is what gives it the flavor kick)
2 scallions (green onions) diced
4 crackers, smashed
Mix together, form into patties and fry in a little olive oil.
Mostly I just dump a huge glob of Miracle Whip and a can of tuna in a bowl, mix and eat straight. DH likes to do it with 1000 Island dressing instead of Miracle Whip. This goes well either on sandwiches or stuffed into celery stalks.

I make a really nerdy tuna casserole with it. I make a yummy concoction with cream cheese and mayo mixed up, mix that with boiled pasta of your choice (the different shapes make it more interesting), a bag of mixed frozen veggies and tuna. Mix until even with a spatula, then cover with shredded cheese of choice and bake for 30-45 minutes. It is creamy goodness. On the fatty side, but so good.
