Paying my respects

December 25th, 2012 at 10:17 pm

On the way home from celebrating Christmas with family, I stopped by our town hall, one of probably a dozen locations where memorials to the Sandy Hook shooting victims have spontaneously sprung up.

I thought you might like to see it.

What touched me most was personal, handwritten notes from people who live far away. Someone even left a pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, I know because one of the little girls who died loved horses.

Thank you for the photos. I feel incredibly sad for those bereaved who would have had such wonderful plans for an upcoming holiday season. On the other hand I'm angry that people have assault rifles which are meant to kill groups of 30. Wm Spengler lured and killed two 1st responders. The fire he started took out 7 homes of neighbors a couple of days ago. Again he had acquired same brand of assault rife in spite of his criminal record. The same brand was used in the Colorado Theatre Massacre.

I don't think that's what your Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment. When will mothers get sufficiently angry to make those politicians who are beholden to NRA funding to walk away from those bought and sold. I shudder to imagine how many accidents will happen when they arm teachers.
