Today's doings

December 27th, 2016 at 03:42 pm

Oh, before I forget, here is my little tree. None of my decorations were any more elaborate than this:

A low-key day. Not that I'm complaining. Here's what I did.

- Eye doctor appointment
- Dropped off trash at landfill
- Returned an item at BB&B for a refund
- 50-minute walk
- Applied for a few freelance writing jobs
- Vacuumed out my car
- Swept up some leaves that collected in the driveway
- Removed a largish folding table and a few other things from my garage, from garage sale last summer, so I can drive the car in there before the next big snowstorm
- Mailed off my DNA sample (saliva) to an Alzheimer's registry so they can better match me to various upcoming studies

As usual, I wasted time online, particularly Facebook. I belong to about 20 groups, and each time someone posts, my speakers go "ding" and like a Pavlovian dog, I feel compelled to read the comment. I will have to start doing Facebook-free days soon.

It was 55 degrees out today.

Definitely recommend the Facebook free days, they are great. Even with all your Facebook activity, you were still pretty productive!

    Sounds like a good day.

Very productive day for you for sure! I took advantage of the milder temperature to go grocery shopping, Costco, Big Lots and Aldi, cleaned out both house freezers. Too much up and down the stairs and now my knees and back are killing me!

I think you did a lot! I don't like Facebook, myself, I prefer personal interaction, with no one else "watching." Guess I'm weird that way, but it does save me a lot of time!

I know what you mean about wasting time online.
